I was recently invited by one of the owners of Ba Noi to visit and have lunch there. I brought a long a coworker of mine and one day last week, we decided to indulge in some Vietnamese food.
The first thing I noticed about Ba Noi was that eventhough it was not big, it was pretty spacious. The lights they had were very quaint and the chairs were all made of wood.
The owner serves us Beef Noodle Soup, Fried Spring Rolls, and dessert. Since my friend and I wanted to try other things, we ordered additional Vietnamese Fried Rice and Chicken Curry.
Beef Noodle (Pho Bo) Php260 |
Fried Spring Roll (Cha Glo) Php195 |
Chicken Curry with Sweet Potato (Ca Ri Ga) Php250 |
Warm Pandan Cake Filled with Mung Bean (Banh Da Lon) Php135 |
Lastly, I want to recommend their Sugarcane Juice with Orange but I want to warn you that you need to have eaten first before tasting it. It compliments the food but when taken alone seems bland. We learned it the hard way. We tried the juice first and found it lacking. After having eaten the noodle and spring roll, the juice was suddenly invigorating and oh so yummy.

Seriously, I haven't tried Vietnamese food. Hope I could visit Ba Noi soon. :)
ReplyDeleteThe fried spring rolls look delish.
ReplyDeleteI find it odd that the sugarcane juice tasted bland when normally surgarcane juice is flavourful as it is (even without the lemon) especially when it comes straight out of the sugarcane.
