For my Son, B

Just for this morning, I am going to smile when
I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear,
and smile and say how perfect it is.

Just for this morning, I am going to step over
the laundry and pick you up and take you to the park to play.
Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink,
and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the
telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with
you in the backyard and blow bubbles.

Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once,
not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine
for the ice cream truck,
and I will buy you one if he comes by.

Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are
going to be when you grow up, or second guess
every decision I have made where you are concerned.

Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me
bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

Just for this afternoon, I will take us to
McDonald's and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

Just for this evening, I will hold you in my
arms and tell you a story about
how you were born and how much I love you.

Just for this evening, I will let you splash in
the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening, I will let you stay up
late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.

Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you
for hours, and miss my favorite TV shows.

Just for this evening when I run my finger
through your hair as you pray, I will simply be
grateful that God has given me the greatest gift
ever given.

I will think about the mothers and fathers who
are searching for their missing children, the
mothers and fathers who are visiting their
children's graves instead of their bedrooms. The
mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms
watching their children suffer senselessly and
screaming inside that little body

And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a
little tighter, a little longer.
It is then, that I will thank God for you,
and ask him for nothing, except one more day.............

It's something I received in an email and I hope that everyday, I will remember this poem so that I may make the most of every single day with my son especially now that he's still a baby ... he's still mine. When he grows up, he will have a world of his own ... a world that may or may not include me.

craft finds

Last week was my sister's birthday ... I was able to convince some family members to get her craftsy stuff thinking that she would love it as much as I do .. apparently she doesn't.

So now those gifts are with me. Eeeekkkk! Me happy person. =)

Here they are ... drool people, drool. They cost just $1-$2.

Sunday Visits

Here are some pictures from the Sunday visits to my parents place we have with B in tow ...
This is B playing ba-ba-ba with my Dad and Mom. Dad is amused and my Mom ... need I say more? =)This is Kianna with her nephew, B. B looks like he's worried he's about to fall off at any minute. Hahaha! This is Lola Concing with a 1 month old B ... looking pretty upset too ... he's been transferred from one pair of arm to another one too many times .... LoL!This is Karl with B inside the van ... the shocked look on B's face is because he almost fell from his Uncle's lap ... the Uncle thought that Bhad a very good sense of balance ...This is Uncle Kirk with B during Kianna's birthday party ... cool huh? They look like models no?

So there it is ... my family (not including my Ate because she has to see B in person ... God knows when?) =p

Left Behind Series

Finally, I'm in Book 12 of the Left Behind series. Took me almost 3 months to finish the entire series but it was well worth it. I'm surely gonna miss Rayford and his entire Tribulation force. To those interested in reading about Revelations in a fictional setting ... in knowing about what the world will become in the End of Days ... read Left Behind. I'm not a religious person but I loved this series.

*for some reason, I am unable to upload the pic ... hhmmm ... to those who've read the series as well, do let me know what you think of it.

** here's the picture ...

Kianna's 6th birthday

We didn't have a party or anything like that .. .we just bought food from the seafood market (total cost was around P10k) but it was so yummy ... got huge shrimps, squid, california crab, suwahe. Yum yum.

Also bought shobe a cake (eeekkk!!! P1k for a cake? A simple cake?) but it was worth it coz she was happy to have had a cake and some candles to blow out.

Happy birthday Kianna! Hope you won't be as hard headed as me. LoL! I wish you all the wisdom that you would need to survive the growing up years ... a kindness that is hard to maintain when everyone seems out to get you and the knowledge that we are all here to support you in everything that you do.

Here are some pics ...

This one is fromt he seafood market ... cool thing about this place was that it didn't stink ... see the fishes and some squid ... fresh and tasty ... I should know, I ate some of them ... hihihi ...

This one is a picture of the kiddie mobiles I made from scratch. Instructions on how to make one for your friends or babies can be found here.

It was time consuming but I'm hoping that Shobe's friends loved it. Or else .... LoL!

I made dolphins, cats, mushrooms, pigs, dogs, and turtles. They're in weird colors coz I suck at color combinations.

Doesn't it show?

Day Out with the Twins

This is uber late in being posted so I'm gonna make it as detailed as possible ...

Brent and I were supposed to go to my parent's house but Daddy said to not go anymore since Ron wouldn't be going with us because he has to go to work for a meeting. So we decided that we would just go buy the twins clothes for their prom.

Tiring but felt good coz we bonded ...

And here are the twins showing off their chosen outfits ...

This is Karl (on the left) in his formal suit ... conservative but hot! It's from Onesimus but we got it quite cheap since it was on sale for 25% off ... cool huh?

The other is Kirk in his brown outfit. Very suave and fashionista. Got his suit from GQ. It was on sale at 50% off. Now that is sweet. He was even able to buy another turtleneck of another color coz his outfit cost less than 4k.

Lola Abeth and her gifts

If there's one person who is so very generous with her gifts to my son, it's Tita Abeth. I'm really touched because they're very thoughtful and can be used for a loonnggg time ...

So thank you and here's some pics to make you smile ...

This is Tita Abeth with Brent during Shobe's bday ...

Below are pictures of Brent in his stroller and in his high chair that Tita Abeth gave him. Cutie!

B at 8 months

Here is B at 8 months. He got sick and had a mild form of measles but still as cuddly and cute as ever.

He loves trying out new food now and is always game for everything, even mildly spicy food.

Super takaw is what he is. In this picture, he's wearing the doctor glasses of his Ah-i Kianna (my baby sis.)

Adorable huh?

Taking care of my Precious

We've both been sick since Wednesday last week ... B had his check up at the doctor already and is now taking antibiotics for his cough and Dimetapp for his cold. So happy he no longer has a fever. Here's a moment captured by his Daddy ... he's been sleeping a lot lately to recuperate.
